Yashoda Lanka & Dananjaya De Silva, two Richmond first XI players have been selected to the National squad which will play against the touring English under 19 team.
This is the first time in history of Richmond cricket that two players have been selected to the same National squad. A new addition to the series of National level achievements during 2010 and an encouraging and a promising start to 2011 .
First 4 day match will start on 14th Friday at Galle International cricket Stadium.

No Richmondite has been selected to national team as a batsman.I think Yashoda and Dhananjaya are the best batsmen we have ever produced.But there is a big gap between school level and international level.They should enter a good club to fill that gap.Our old boys such as Champaka should help them for that.I wish both of them enter the national team.
